Milltown Public Schools Closed

Dear Parents/Guardians,

With Governor Murphy’s recent announcement extending New Jersey’s Public Health Emergency to May 9th, our virtual schoolhouse will remain open for a while longer. The district will continue to take direction from the state in regard to school closure timelines. It is most critical now that we practice social distancing and work to mitigate the spread of this virus in order to return to our regular routines as soon as possible.

Our Parkview teachers have recently embraced the I Stay Home for Milltown challenge and posted a YouTube video to share some at home fun with everyone.  If you have not seen it yet, you can view it at: https://youtu.be/dwEVF7qvWFo.   Joyce Kilmer’s video is in the works and will be posted very soon!

We appreciate all the support that parents and other community members have shown our teachers and administrators in this challenging time through the many positive and encouraging emails, posts and texts we have received. These communications will continue to be the best source of energy for us to maintain our instructional momentum through this last marking period.

With all of the support shown to us, we have been looking at ways to in turn support our local health care and other essential workers.  We have been cooperating with the county to donate PPE (personal protective equipment) such as masks, gloves, sanitizer, etc. that Nurse Pagliuco has gathered.  We are also exploring the possibility of using our 3D printers to make masks to help supplement local supplies.

As we welcome in Spring, please look for news of Green Club garden activities to try at home!

Be well,

Dr. Stephanie Brown

Superintendent
